Never ! With SB backing me, the victory is just a mere formality at this point . Just sign the unconditional surrender like Japan did to end WW II, like Lee did at Appomattox Courthouse to end the Civil War.

I want to hear the explanation behind it requiring more skill to skydive without a parachute.

And survive? If you were really skilled it's possible.

SB is not backing you. He never said foot retention does not help performance or complained about how clips are bad.

vladuz976,
Not that you are even reading this thread anymore: I second (or maybe third) going with a Power Grip-type strap; no cage to drag the ground or the wheel (though I guess there's no helping your big feet - I'm size 12, too). I'm using one called Biciband, which is handmade by a couple in Las Vegas. They are the same concept as the Power Grips, but are infinitely adjustable and made of cotton (and look way cooler, in my opinion).

He meant Sheldon Brown, not that Sheldon is actually backing him in any way...

You know. It was a close one, it really was. However, now, with the false belief that Sheldon Brown somehow posthumously agrees with Fuji, all is lost.

I thought that having completely illogical beliefs based upon what people think some dead guy wants was only reserved for religious nuts. However, I was mistaken.

There is almost no amount of reason that will sway an opinion of the unreasonable.

Neither did I. I brought up some very valid points regarding foot retention and never complained. Advantages and disadvantages are just that, they aren't complaints just accurate realizations.

not to mention u also quoted this and tried to use some random guy's blog to say how clips are harmful.
"Toe clips typically are not installed on this type of pedal because they are considered unsafe by some MTB and BMX riders."
But it's okay. I agree clips are too much performance to handle for some Starbucks runs and girl watch sessions.

Those aren't complaints, they were offered as advantages and disadvantages. A lot of it was sarcasm because whenever I would mention a disadvantage, the 1/2 dozen in this thread sought to totally discount any notion that a disadvantage even existed for toe clips.
