Yes, he was enthusiastic! It seems that in addition to fashion sense some fellows have a sensitive nature. I think his feelings got hurt, left voluntarily.

I think there is a little bit more to it than that, unfortunately for all of us:

Meh, I've been on the end of his sensitive tirades as well for pretty innocuous comments. He's a weird dude who pretends to be nice and wanted to fit in but was bubbling with anger issues

When applied correctly, this stuff works great and keeps your chain clean. Application is key.
I purchased a 4 of their 4oz bottles for traveling and all of it is at least as thick as elmers glue while my big shop sized bottle from elsewhere is a bit watery. The gloppy stuff from bluesky definitely adds a gumminess to the drive train that I don't see from the bottle purchased directly from Squirt. In the end the stuff from bluesky went in the bin and I purchased a small bottle from squirt. Maybe I was unlucky????

I really enjoyed his content and contributions, but was personally shocked when he came out of nowhere swinging punches against my morality when I showed my newly acquired "bicycle flask".
I didn't see it coming. He made me a better person with his product introductions... and a little more wary of strangers.
Best of luck with his future endeavors and safe travel when he encounters others that express differing values.

I remember that one. Kinda hilarious since most gravel events are based like MTB ones where there's a lot of beer. Hell when I did the BWR this year one rest stop had beer and another had tequila shots. He loved to get on his high horse constantly and honestly if he's going to throw a tantrum and leave because of what transpired in the wheel thread then that's all on him.

I looked at the last thread that he contributed and I am not clear on why his exit was initiated.
He has cut his direct links to his other sites, but he leaves a fairly distinct fingerprint on the internet.
His comment of "I try not to condemn people or groups but will condemn behavior and ideology" allows me some insight to his behavior. He should have started his postings with this absolution.

I still have not yet used my flask on a bike ride, so maybe his sermon did reach me...........maybe.

I also noticed that the stuff from bluesky appears to be a different, the labels are different. I just sent an email to Squirt as I'm a bit disappointed in the gumminess of these.

I reached out to them as well as I was thinking it may be counterfeit but was told it's really old. I'm thinking it must be really really old as my shop bottle is a couple of years old and isn't even close to being as gummy as the blue sky stuff is. They did say I could try reconstituting it with water but that didn't help. In the end I gave up and sent it to the landfill.

Anyone jump the Vittoria tires bf/cm deals? 25% off and free ship was pretty sweet but I didn't need any more tires although a set of the Terreno Zero's in 650x47 was super tempting.

Those TA chainrings are excellent. I bought one to create a 44/36 junior gearing crankset for my son's road race bike.

Dramatic price drop in Stages Power meter to $299. Now just gotta figure out where to buy one from.

● Shimano 105 R7000 Power L $299USD (was $529)

● Shimano Ultegra R8000 $349USD
