Received a new IceBreaker merino wool base layer from Amazon. I had hoped that it would be a less expensive alternative to the Rapha bases, but man, does the fit suck. Arms are fine, but it's really long (even for someone with a long-ish torso, like me) and it's not tailored around the armpits at all, so it ends up looking like some sugar glider skin flaps when you raise your arms. How is this supposed to fit under other layers? 
I guess it might work fine casually, but not with anything athletic/slim fitting. Will have to return it. Bummer.

The weather is so nice, now through March, that I would be a fool not to ride everyday. My knees have other ideas. I'm doing guad stretches ever morning--just two sets-- and it helps some. I could start doing more sets, and more throughout the day. Any other ideas from the peanut gallery? Something that works for you, or someone you know? I don't ride hard or fast, or (unfortunately)very far most of the time. So I just need a maintenance kind of program.

I like the Patagonia Capilene. I use them for cycling and snowboarding. Different weights for the application.
Used one this morning on the mountain bike. Started out at 37 degrees and was 64 when I got home. Stuff works well.

In other news, after today’s ride I removed the Reynolds wheels from the Habanero. The regular road season is officially over.
I was waiting until now so I would not jinx myself, but I had latex tubes for the whole season (May through November) and GP4000s tires, got roughly 3k miles on them and zero flats.
