Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I believe the grammatically correct variant of that sentence construct would be that you doubt the aforementioned weight of said Peugeot because it is steel.

But now that I read that back to myself I sound like a what you Americans would refer to as a ******.

Weighed it a couple years back and I believe it weighed 24.5 lbs with a u-lock on it that was indicated at 1.5 lbs. It's a 2010 Vilano.

My circa-1970 CCM tandem weighs 60 pounds. Yes, I'm a trifler, but I find arguments about "above 20 pounds versus below 20 pounds" amusing.

Are you married? Just wondering because I think my wife would never want that many bikes around.
