There was some sort of mention / invitation to it about a month ago. I signed up and have been uploading my rides to Endomondo which transfers to the challenge. My biggest hopes are to win a year's supply of toilet paper.
I would say the challenge has made me try to come up with a ride on Saturdays and Sundays too, even if just a short one because you get that 20 point bonus for each day you ride.

I have 502 points, was out for a week and a half with an injury so that kind of messed me up. Was on target for the gold but may have the silver this month. Either way is cool with me. Hopefully can score some Sierra Nevada gear one of the months!

I'm at 573 pts. I'm 21st locally. I was hoping to do better, but people are riding a lot of miles this year. I'll have to see if it drops off as temperatures go up.

Okay, I just joined (thanks for the heads up!)... but I'm having an issue. How do you sync past a week? I've been doing rides all month but it only goes back 7 days for MapMyRide. The FAQ says you can sync the month's miles until 11:59 the last day of the month, but I can't find anywhere to actually do that either on the website or the app itself.
I see the manual option but I would like to add them legitimately.

I'm at 397 pts, I don't have much of a commute these days, the only thing giving me miles are recreation miles and errands.

#51 locally (took a week off for a vacation and dropped from the 30s). Suppose I need to take a ride to the store now for my 20pts. I've felt sick all day and haven't gotten any miles in yet. 14 minutes left to get one.

I'm at 960 points as of last night. The ranking changes constantly as other folks put in their miles. I'm in the 1300's right now. I may see if I can start adding more miles and try to break get under 1000 in the rankings. Riding every day helps too with the 20 point bonus. As of now the folks in the top 1000 only have 84 points more than me.

Anyone else figure out the past weeks thing yet?
That zero miles text is bugging me since i've obviously ridden more than that hahah.

I'm at 1,188 pts #108 locally, 656 nationally.
I manually enter my mileage on the log miles form...to go back to previous weeks you can hit the button with the vertical lines in the upper right corner of the form...
Hope that helps.

Really? If you enter the miles manually they're not legit?

Thanks for the tip, I also found that you can enter them by individual day (to get those extra points) via the monthly calendar view

I just signed up and set it to sync with my MapMyRide account. It brought in my rides for the last two weeks. I've only been in the challenge a few minutes and I've already hit the silver level.

I've participated in the National Bike Challenge the past few years and again this year. It's amazing the mileage some cyclists rack up. My total for May so far is 750 miles and I am way down the list at #687 . It's all in good fun though, and I'm all for anything that supports cycling.

I, sadly, am forced to use a blackberry at work and Endomondo is one of the few products that work on that device. So work days I run Endomondo.
last year it seem that the Challenge was much better integrated into the Endomondo site than is the case this year and I suspect that is part of the problem that people are having getting data into the challenge site.
