Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For those in the LA, Orange County area, Roam Cyclery in Westminster on Golden West St. is folding up his tent. Right now every thing is 30% off and bikes are priced to sell. He hopes to be done by Thanksgiving. I have no connections with Roam Cyclery, just passing on the info.

Yikes... all these gadgets to make indoor cycling seem more realistic. It is all a bit much for me. You can spend thousands and thousands to make the experience as 'life-like' as possible.. But if that is THAT important to you, you would be better off just going outdoors.

To me, indoor training is a useful tool, but a dumb trainer will do just fine. I can still hook it up to Zwift just fine. I dont see the need to spend so much money on it, not worth it.

Could it be that some people have different situations, experiences, values and preferences and that, as such, some of this stuff is easily justified? No, no - that's just crazy talk. Carry on.

And, FWIW, the quote that seemingly sent you off the edge is for a $70 product. Whoa! Big investment!

Maybe Garmin has lowered prices, I've seen it on sale at the same price at Amazon and Jensen. Ordered.

Hope RX4 flat mount calipers from German on-line bike shop _____. de (sorry, I can't recall the name right now). They are selling these cool, Shimano road compatible hydraulic calipers in a variety of anodized colors for under $100 USD each. I'm really wanting to have my hydraulic disc road bike not have the monolithic black Shimano everything treatment.

Knog 30% off site wide. They have good lights and bells, but they make other stuff too.

Amazing lights in terms of brightness and style, although build quality is a bit lackluster.

Head over to www.knog.com.au and enter the following code at the checkout process - KNOGblackfriday30
