Indian electric bike

I’m not really into electric bikes, but saw this on my FB feed and had a look. $4000.00??? WTF? Isn’t that a little overpriced for this product? Curious, I did a quick search and see many electric bikes cost well less than half that. Is this just paying for the Indian name? — Dan

I'm pretty sure the "Indian" you referenced is a Super 73 (already way overpriced IMO) painted to look like the classic brand, and represents the Indian company licensing their name.

I agree with 2old. I saw one in their shop the other day while looking at Aventon eBikes.

It's ridiculously expensive for what it is. It hasn't even got FENDERS! Take that offroad and you'll regret that omission right away.

I’d buy a 73 and paint it up and save 1300 or better.

That amount of money for a Super 73. Heck I would probably pay max $500 for one and maybe max $500.01 if it said Indian on it. At least Harley Davidson put time and effort into designing a good e-bike, their actual company behind it sucks and support is bad at best but the bike is solid well designed and not just some junk from overseas with their logo slapped on it.

This would be a beyond hard pass

I could get way more bike for 4k then a super 73 with stickers. At that price I can easily get a Bosch Performance Line Speed motor and a decent drivetrain from say a brand that has been around since the late 1800s
