They were turned into RVs and work trucks mainly. A couple would become ambulances, etc.

Going up the road last Saturday there were 6 or 8 of them on a small tree watching me.

Actually I reckon almost all of those became RVs. Work truck coachworks would usually use the stock cab.

There are parrots in the hills all over this area. They squawk and chirp and imitate other birds. They are invasive and deprive other birds of food but nobody has figured out what to do about them yet. Some speculate they came from Busch Gardens when it closed years ago.

Unless MoAlpha goes out for another serving.
I think I'll ride 'til 10:01 and see if it counts on this week's total or next week's.

Apparently that flock has grown, and divided into subflocks, and spread its territory.

That last one was very hilly and I was trying to keep the average in Z2. Poor guy I was with had probably never ridden so slowly with a two-legged human on a fancy bike before.

Not a regular here, but wanted to share an interesting bit.
In "The North American Indian" by Edward Curtis, there is a photograph of a southwest woman polishing a pot.
The caption reads: The potter is polishing a vessel. The smooth pebbles used for this purpose are found in small heaps among or near deposits of fossil bones. They are the stomach pebbles of dinosaurs. Tewa women prize them highly, refuse to part with them, and foresee ill luck if one is lost.
That's all- carry on.
