Many MTB questions - pls help me out!

Hi, first-time poster, long-time stalker. I’ve been watching this forum for a while now and there are some questions I would like to know the answers to:

• Does ed really look like his avatar?

• Why did gastro change his name?

• What happened to mtnbiker66?

• Why is never . . . never? It’s confusing. If you say, “have you been to Whistler?” and the person replies “never went there,” are they pointing out the fact that never went there or that they themselves have never been there? It makes my head hurt.

• Do I really want a rigid, steel, singlespeed 29er . . . even if I don’t?

• Why isn’t junkyard a moderator yet? Or at least President?

• Is mystolenbikes his name because he rides stolen bikes - - or because someone else is now riding his stolen bikes?

• Because he starts such good, entertaining and pithy rant-threads, should pablosnazzy change his name to pablosnarky?

• Who’s on first?

• What’s on second?

• Why is someone named Santiago from French-Communist Quebec instead of, say, Dutch Antilles?

That’s all for now.

First welcome to the forum. Second how did you get your post count to show almost 11.000?

I can't answer all of your questions but I'll try to answer a few of them.

1 I'm pretty sure Ed does look like his avatar.

2 29 steel rigid ss is a must for every garage. Riding one of those is directly attached to your manhood. You are not a man until you own and ride one of those. (just wanna point out that I'm not a man yet)

And 3 somebody is riding my stolen bikes. when I joined the forum I had just got my bikes stolen and I was upset and couldn't come up with any other name.

I hope this answers some of your questions.

Oh and I know you didn't ask but...no, two hundred bucks will not get you a brand new dual suspension bike.

Never say never, Fivel and his sister are right!

Where is Junkyard? Are his feeling hurt?

I think Santiago is actually rolling cigars in Honduras these days.

And YES, you can buy a shiny new Full Suish bike with genuine Shimano parts for less than $200. A neighbor kid has one. It weighs as much as my VW Bug!

There was a guy riding something like that way back off the roads last weekend. Bur Sage Loop, Henderson, NV. I couldn't believe it. I was encouraging to him. But I think the coyotes recognized the bike for what it was and were stalking him. The buzzards left me and started following him.

No, he looks like your avatar. And why did Ed change his name?

Because he got kicked out of NC.

Never even thought about that. Never.

If you don't want one, you're not a real cyclist.

Because he doesn't ever have anything interesting to say.

Seems like a shady character so he probably has the stolen bikes.

Nah, the threads are pretty snazzy so I think it's fine as is.

I'm on the first place podium...you know that!

An old guy with a really heavy turquoise and white bike!

I've always wondered about that too but thought he should be from Cuba.
