Mongoose Otero vs. Giant NRS2

Looking into getting a full suspension bike. I've found a Mongoose Otero & Giant NRS2 (earlier model of the two years it was made, meaning it has disc brakes) both in the same price range of about $400. The Giant would be the obvious winner, but the Mongoose has two major upgrades--front & rear suspension. It has a RockShox Tora fork & RockShox in the rear, though I'm not sure what kind. The Giant is fully stock. I'm about 50% trail, 50% freeride with my biking. Freeriding isn't too intense at the moment (mostly dirt jumps with landing ramps, occasionally 3-4' drops). Now, opinionate away!

Mongoose Otero comp MSRP approx $500, Giant NRS2 MSRP aprox $1700. Ive had the Giant NRS2, it is is definitely lighter than the Mongoose. The Giant uses the 4 bar linkage and is designed by Specialized (noted on the side of the frame). Much better suspension than the mongoose. Giant is the obvious choice.

If you plan on jumping this bike, get a DJ specific bike.
