Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This bike is so sexy.

Iirc, that frame isn't very light. Any idea what the projected final weight will be?

The frame is about 250 grams heavier than the advertised weight so it certainly isn't a light weight. I really have no idea what it is going to weigh once complete but I hope it is in the 16 pound range. Nothing on it is really light. That may change over time though if I end up keeping it for a while.

No. I contacted Wrench Science about it the evening I received the frameset. The rep told me that he would overnight me one. Two days later I called to check on it since I hadn't received it yet. I was then told that it was shipped the same day I called by UPS ground. That was almost three weeks ago.

I contacted Baer Cycling to see if they had one in stock and if I could buy one. They did have one in stock, however they wouldn't accept payment, they sent it for free. That was Friday and I received it today.

Now now, no reason to get in a hurry. Rushing always leads to mistakes after all.

That sucks. At least you have it now. It's always the stupid little things that hold up builds it seems.

Looking good. I like how all the colors and carbon pattern match. It all flows really nicely. Can't wait to see the final product!

Must have missed that entirely because otherwise I would have mailed you one for free at no charge with $0 cost to you LOL........

Nope, they are clinchers. The pair weighs in at 1755, built with 50mm clinchers, White Industry hubs, DT Comp spokes with brass nipples.

Why don't you get cheap metal cages and find a place to get them anodized to match your brakes?

Well I will certainly say that Baer Cycling rocks! As far as Wrench Science goes I will just say that I am dissapointed. When I placed the order for the frameset I was told it would ship that day and I would receive it the following Wednesday. On Wednesday I called them for a tracking number. I was then told that the frameset hadn't shipped because they didn't have my address. They didn't bother to call me to get my address. For what it's worth they had my phone number and I had already given them my address twice.

I appreciate the suggestion but I'm happy with the elite cages for the time being.
