You gonna eat that?
Over the last six days I rode 200 miles. Tonight, the 7th day, was a day of rest.
Friday I did a "group" ride that turned out to be just me and one other rider. I got 37 miles on my trusty 2-speed
Saturday was my longest ride of the week; I rode my age (54 miles) on a breakfast ride plus bonus miles.
Sunday was a group ride; got 30 miles in.
Monday I did only 15 miles.
Tuesday I rode 24 miles.
Last night I did 40 on a group ride which included several Personal Records on Strava segments. I hung near the front of the pack for most of the ride and seemed better able to hang in front as the ride went on.

Another 37 miles today on my breakfast ride. Over the last 9 days I've had 8 rides averaging about 34 miles.
That's me in the blue and white jersey in the middle

From this weeks mountain bike race. Lead group was couple hundred yards ahead. The rest of us were strung out and playing catch up. Didn't catch them but had a good time anyway.

10 miles (after a couple turns around the church parking lot to bump up the distance) on Saturday. Met this guy at the halfway point.

Just ordered a Panasonic ZS50. There's not much out there for reasonable price for (wannabe) photographers that want to carry on a bike or kayak. This was the best I could do for reasonable cost with manual exposure, RAW, and a viewfinder and still be able to carry and use easily on the bike or boat.
Hopefully I'll be able to participate by late week. It will sure be nice not having a bulky fuller body superzoom laying on the small of my back on a wide shoulder strap while I'm out on the bike.

This is from last Saturday. Weather predicted to be very hot in town so we decided to do a mountain bike ride in the mountains. We unfortunately did not beat the heat (while 100 in the flatlands it was 86 in the mountains). Plus the trail we ride was recently graded and was a mess. Pretty much it was a survival day; we had to cut the ride short (15 miles versus 21). Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time! Besides the heat... there were alot of biting flying insects. I am covered with bites. Next time, I will take bug spray! Anyway, once we turned back, it's a pleasant downhill along a cool stream...

Rochester Ny checking in
This mornings ride to the end of the pier, Charlotte (Rochester) NY, looking out over Lake Ontario.
I can be here in about 18 minutes from my house. Nice MUP along the river as well.
Today is my daughter's 21st Birthday!
Ride On,
Steve

Solo Labor Day ride on the Old Gentleman to and around Downtown Fort Worth. 30 miles of increasingly HOT riding. Had a blowout at mile 2; the tires were a little soft and I think when I pumped up the front the tire came off the bead. VERY loud bang. My CO2 cartridge nozzle was busted so I actually used the ancient frame pump. It got the tire pumped up enough to walk the bike over to an oil change place and they let me use their air hose.
This fountain commemorates one of Fort Worth's nicknames of "Panther City." (It comes from a story told of a lawyer that came from Dallas and said Fort Worth was such a sleepy little town that a panther slept on Main Street. The locals adopted the intended snub with pride as a new name for the city.)
Sundance Square- the recently built central plaza in downtown
Bridges over the Trinity River
Almost home, on the edge of the Suburban Sprawl

I want to head up your way and ride that river trail. I was looking at it yesterday on trail link. I am about two hours south of you.

I rode a metric century today. It was the normal Saturday morning breakfast ride, plus I rode with a couple of other riders to get some bonus miles before returning home.

Wow, no one is posting here.
I did another metric century Saturday. Part 1 was a breakfast ride with my bike club. Here's a pic of some of us suffering up Oakmonster hill.
Patio weather!
Part 2 was bonus miles after breakfast. I rode out to a new trail extension to check it out.
The new trail is not yet finished and needs some clean up.
A bridge over a creek that dumps into the Trinity River.
The end of the line. For now.
