Yes, please post the pictures. If the bottom bracket shell is 70mm wide and the cups are threaded 36mm x 24 TPI, it's an Italian frame.

excellent custom frames made by marinoni for bertrand. If it fits and you are happy with the price, you won't likely be dissapointed.

Most of the Bertrand frames were manufactured in the basement of the LBS by Gilles Bertrand, son of the owner. Manufacturing started circa 1981, in conjunction with Michele Belly who had built frames for LeJeune and Bador. Michele left shortly thereafter, but not before teaching the trade to Gilles. Nice frames.

Just had a used Betrand brought to the shop for assessment and work. SLX frame with Victory and a Dura-Ace SIS upgrade.

I forgot to mention that there is another Bertrand Cycles here in Hull, Quebec on rue Eddy, just a few blocks from the store I posted earlier and they also make bicycles. I belive they are the original store and is run by the same family but no longer conected.

This is interesting....I didn't realize that there were two Bertrand shops in Gatineau (I mean Hull ). I just purchased an older Bertrand frame, circa 1984, and I'm curious about this relationship. Does anyone have more information on the two shops? When the split happened and why? Does either one still make their own frames, or are they all outsourced to Marinoni now?
Thanks!
Neil
