Hahaha, in my younger days I went out and got plastered the night before a century ride. The next day, I remember saying “you damn fool”. I was completely hung over for most of the ride, but actually ended up doing pretty well. But I don’t recommend it for a cure😃😃😃😃😃.

Mmmmmm, dunno. Those days at the gym peddling away on the stationary bike did nothing for my mileage. We’ll see what comes, weather and chore wise.

I’m hoping to do that. There’s a gold Trek stem cap that I can’t use on the line!

7/25 - 0.5 miles

I'm back!

Not quite the way I wanted to be, the foot isn't healing as well as we'd like, but the bone part of it is doing well enough to exercise, just can't fit into a bike shoe. Then I got an idea (see the Therapeutic Restoration thread) and got my 45-year-old road bike with the flat pedals ride-able again, and after a successful test ride down the street and back a couple times yesterday, I hit the road this evening and ran an errand. Though I put thousands of miles on that bike in my younger days, the geometry is so different, I had to really work to get used to balancing (and not having ridden for 7 weeks didn't help). The ride of a steel frame feels radically different, too.

This was taken before I cleaned up a lot of the rust and replaced the bar tape. It's still got a ways to go, but it's looking better and better.

I am just getting back into riding again, getting my 13-year old into riding as well. We will set a goal for August but have already ridden 40+ miles on 3-separate rides.

I had planned for a few more miles on my evening ride. But it was my 8 month old granddaughter’s first ride. The son-in-law’s bike needs a special adapter to pull the trailer, so my daughter pulled it on her mountain bike. It was an awesome ride. Looking forward to some fun pic-a-nic or maybe even camping rides this fall!

I'm probably not gonna hit my goal this month -- between weather (both rainy and heat), and a doctor's visit on a ride day, I'm going to come up short unless I decide to get my Zwift set up again.

Raised my goal to 350, and updated totals after figuring out how to direct upload to Strava without Garmin

MTD 771 miles

Yesterday was chores until early afternoon, and I decided not to ride in the 108 heat indices.....today, out early on the Bianchi, cool at 6:30 but warmed up quickly. I hope to at least make 900, no guarantee with this brutal heatwave and my chore list. Kudos to those pushing 1,000, someday I’ll be there with y’all!
