Assistance Identifying Frame

Asking for assistance on what this frame could be. I got it this way with just the headset parts in the bag.

I "think" that the "one letter followed by 6 numbers" format is from Miyata. J416519 could be from 1981.

Just a wild ass guess.

Pretty spectacular guess IMO, given that the serial format and font and the original color visible on the fork steerer are a perfect match to the 1981 Miyata 1000 I'm working on right now (pic attached).

Obviously the frame in the OP isn't a 1000 but the 1981 Miyata catalog says the same color was available on the 610 and 310: https://www.ragandbone.ca/PDFs/Miyat...%20Catalog.pdf And given the lack of bottle cage bosses (as far as I can see), I'd say you're looking at a 1981 Miyata 310.

Thank you cb400bill and PatTheSlat

I just double checked and no bottle cage bosses, 81 Miyata 310 it is.

is cruiser bike thick!

Yes in Japanese serial numbers the first letter Typically indicates the maker and J would be match for a early 80's Kyoto made Miyata.
