Cracked Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheel
Got back from a ride last week and noticed when cleaning the crack in the hub of my wheel (they are 3 years old so not under warranty anymore), have emailed Mavic and they want £130 + 20 postage to repair (could be more if crack worse than pic)
Is it worth it?

Your hub is cracked or the wheel is cracked?

Only you can judge for yourself if it's worth fixing.

Happened to my rear SL Premium many years ago. It was newer than yours. I got it replaced through the LBS where I bought but had to pay about that much. There was also a problem with the internals of the rear hub that started early on and that Mavic wanted a couple of hundred dollars to fix. There was also a known design defect in the spoke nipple that could cause drying and ultimately cracking if a true was need, which happened to the front wheel. Had to pay to have the cracked spoke nipple fixed. I told Mavic to engage in intercourse with itself re: the hub and have not bought another Mavic product since.
