I believe this is a 86 or 87 PZ, the bike looks all original except for the pedals, these only weighed around 21 pounds and the tubeset by many was thought to be better than 531. If I lived closer or had the time to go see I would.

I believe that is a PSV10, not PZ. But $275 is a screaming deal !

Thanks for the input. I had it in my head the the Grizzly was kind of special/collectable but further sleuthing says it may not be the case. I could probably get it for $120 but seems like it would be tough to sell for $200, even cleaned up. Also, I can't even ride it due to size, so I'll pass.

Here's a thread that steered me away for it being worth 200+

And there it is! Same color, decals, chrome fork, etc of the Peugeot I rode all over Germany in the mid 80's. Why can't this ever show up locally??

Don't know much about these, but figured the Dura Ace rear derailleur is half the price of admission?

Not the same size but close ratio, probably 47/52 or even tighter. Similar to a corncob freewheel.

The capacity of rear derailleurs up to the mid-'50's or so was extremely limited; hence what looks like a 4-speed straight block in the back and 50/47 (?) chainrings. Even in the mid-'60s, at least some of the Frejus bikes imported by Thomas Avenia in New York were fitted with a similar chainring spread.

Also, cross-chaining was avoided even with 8-speed bikes. There was an illustration of an 8-speed setup in an Italian cycling manual of that time with a diagram that showed that the outer ring was to be used only with the outer two sprockets and the inner ring with the inner two sprockets.

I’m going to wager this is an ‘85 PSN10. Super Vitus tubing, quill seat post, Mavic Module E and Campy Triomphe shifting are giveaways. The original brakes would have been Modolo so guessing these were an upgrade. This one is in great shape.

I don't know much about Peugeot, are you sure it's a PSV10? I cannot find that color on images for that bike on Craigslist, the only color I found that matched was the PZ. Not sure what's up with decals on the fork, a Miller beer decal? was it some sort of team bike? or are they covering up rusted chrome?
