Columbine
Thinking of picking this up. It's not a huge bargain though and I have a few bike projects already in the works... thoughts on value?

No idea on value, but I can see why you'd find it appealing. If it were my size, I might as well.

Columbine is one of the great USA artisan marques. When Bicycling magazine did their "USA Versus the World" comparison test in late 1983, technical editor Frank Berto went on record saying,"If I were going to buy a bike to-day, I would buy a Columbine." This frame appears to be slightly newer, courtesy of the internal brake cable and Shimano New Dura-Ace. It's a shame it isn't in slightly better condition. Is it Reynolds 753, as they were certified? Slightly dull looking bright work may be due to the fact that they were using nickel plating, as opposed to chrome, around this period. Really georgeous workmanship on these frames., especially the seat lugs. I'd be in at anywhere up to $500.
Edit: Just noticed the style of the MAVIC logo. That, in conjunction with Newe Dura-Ace single pivot, should put it 1988-1990, provided both are OEM.

I'm a sucker for window lugs, especially chrome or nickel. If it fit I would be interested at the right price. The workmanship appears to be great. I'm unaware of that brand, thanks for the info T-Mar.

I loved Columbines. One of my dream bikes from my youth. Best lugwork short of Brian Bayliss.

Columbine's are one of the finest custom frames made in the States. They are not so well known because at the quality level he works, his output is smaller than more famous ones. They are also some of the most expensive when bought new. He liked to use Henry James stainless lugs and I'd be willing to bet that is what is on this frame.

I've seen a couple out on the road, impressive bikes. A good friend was asking me if his DIL should trade in her dads hand me down Columbine for something new. I talked them into upgrading. What do you think a bike shop would have given them? Guess I ruined someone's catch of the day.

I'd be interested in looking into that. Where is it posted?

I cannot tell if the lugs are Stainless steel or chromed.
Always nice visible workmanship on these.
Headset does not go with it visually.
color is not what I would have selected... does the frame no favors.

Lugs should be polished stainless.
The headset treatment is something I've seen on other Columbine 'fancy' bikes, I suspect it's an in-house thing.
I don't do the Facebook thing, if anyone has a phone or e-mail contact for the seller would appreciate it via PM or e-mail it to rccardr@cox.net.

If I had contact information, I could just, you know, contact him.

Sounds like seller is attempting an auction on FB marketplace. No price listed, tell me what you think its worth kind of thing.
"Not sure what’s it worth exactly but message me offers. If you know how good of a bike this is will be decent offer."
FB marketplace doesn't give phone numbers, you have to contact the seller via message through Facebook. Their business, their rules.
FWIW, I currently see better deals on FB marketplace versus C/L. This will not last forever. A lot of people avoid FB, leaving the deals to others.

Well, I'm really glad none of you all bought it, because I did. Look past the grime. The parts are meh. I'll sell it all for $100. I wanted the frame, which today is about $4200. The stainless needs a buffing. Going back to Columbine for new paint and a couple braze-on's. It's a full Tange Prestige frame and fork. 56c square. It'll get a fully polished DA group and a new Columbine custom stem made to match and maybe a made-to match seat post. This was the jewel in the rough I've been looking for nearly 30 years.
