IDC Classy front wheel

I got my hands on a nearly stock 1982 Trek 614 and I'm working on converting a to something of a budget "allroad" bike a la @lonesomesteve Frek builds. I've got a H Plus Son TB14 rear wheel and I'm thinking of matching it up with an IDC Classy H Plus Son TB14 rims and Shutter Precision PV-8 dynohub front wheel. I've read @noglider and @wsgts reviews/opinions and they seem very positive, does anyone else have experience with the IDC Classy front wheel?

Thanks!

I had a Shutter Precision hub on my commuting bike for two or three years. I probably put more than 10,000 miles on that hub, and a lot of those miles were in the rain. It worked flawlessly until the bike was stolen about three years ago. I would have no reservations about using Shutter Precision hubs again. And with a H Plus Son rim, that should be a light and reliable wheel.

BTW, I'm always thrilled to hear when Frek inspires someone to rescue another old Trek from a life of gathering dust and rust in a garage somewhere!

lonesomesteve Wow! I'm quite honored to get a response from such a celebrity! I won't be adding all the braze-ons (at least this go around)

Thanks for the endorsement - between the 3 of you I guess we have a quorum! I can't post any pics yet, but I will when I've reached the qualifying amount of posts.

If I have build questions would to C&V be the appropriate place to post them?

You might want to post build questions in the 650b conversion thread over in the Classic and Vintage forum. I'm happy to help where I can, but there are others subscribed to that thread who have a ton more experience than I have with 650b conversions.
