Finished one more tonight
Sorry about the crappy picture, just finished her and it's kinda dark outside. The rear stays aren't on fire just photoshopped my license plate. All campy Mondia Super. cheers

Dropped
I figured it was time to post pics of my dearly departed 1966 Schwinn Breeze. I just sold it this week to a college student in need, at cost (for cost of replacement parts, that is - my hours and hours of labor was free). Experiencing a bit of separation anxiety, but it's better put to service than sitting in my basement. I'll miss you Henrietta. Enjoy the big city!

Hi guy's newbie here. Here's my Centurion Accordo. I believe its an '84 but I'm not really sure. I keep reading about date stamps but I'm not really sure where to look. I picked this up for $50 from a garage sale and is now my commuter. Everything is stock except for the handlebar tape, pedals and tires. I'm pretty surprised of its 24 pound weight despite being steel.

1982 Schwinn Sierra
Still my ride after 24 years. Replacing it soon with a Trek. Most likely a 4500.
Bought this one new and haven't done much to it. A new crank with a smaller gear and that is the only modification.

He bought my Dad's '82 Schwinn Sidewinder.

My 1983 LeTour Luxe
I bought this bike in May 2006, and here it is after all of the changes I've made. I think this one is "done" for now and I'll be devoting my time to other projects.
Started with a 1983 LeTour Luxe.
Upgrades/Kludge:
Shimano 105 Dual-Pivot Breaks with reflector-bracket drop bolts.
Weinmann 700c wheels
Conti Ultra Sport 700c/28 tires
MKS pedals
Tektro Aero levers
Vintage Suntour Ratcheting Friction Barcons (Work great with downtube cablestops for original stem shifters)
San Marco Rolls Saddle
Shimano 14-28 freewheel
Chain
Bar Tape
Original:
Cranks and Chainrings
Bottom Bracket
Altus LT Derailers
Headset
Handlebars
Stem

My 1981 Visser Vainqueur; new front fork, new 'retro-look' paint job and mix of components that are pleasing to me. Pleasing to the eye that is. Didn't go for period-correctness, but 'Campy' was the theme.
Custom-built for me in 81, raced for four seasons, training/winter bike after that, then commuter, then stashed away (couldn't say goodbye to that one!). Still rides very good: stable yet agressive, surprisingly stiff.

Kurt, is that a pink flamingo in the background?
Lock it up! They stopped making them, and they will soon be collector's items!

Sorry for the crappy picture quality, but the camera I currently have access to kinda sucks and it is too dark to shoot outside so I have to use this storage area. Anyway, I can post better pics tommorrow. Here's my '86 Butler with new pedals, bar tape, and tires. I am looking for a new saddle as well.
Campy Record brakes, everything else is Chorus. Wheelsmith wheels. 3t bars and stem. Any info/advice anyone has is appreciated

My turn. Finally have a cool vintage bike to show after lurking for a long time - drooling over pics of all sorts of beautiful machinery. Early 80's (not sure) Pinarello Treviso bought from the original owner who had it professionally repainted. Not the biggest fan of green for bicycles (even though this is the second green bike i've ended up with) but other than that I'm in love! All Campy drivetrain, newer mavic rims on campy hubs, cinelli stem & bars. Rides like a brand new bike although i'm still getting used to the downtub shifters as i'm used to the shimano 105 shifters on my Specialized Allez something or the other.
Hope posting this link works - should take you to the album with several pics.

here's one of mine. no-name 26" frame found in trash. the way the frame was is the way you see in the pic. had some 20" coaster brake wheels sitting around, the tires are pyramid freestyle. i found the seat in the parts bin of my local bike co-op. 3.5" cranks, 44t chainring. bike was originally a 10-speed. questions/comments welcome.

pedal strike occurs if the turn is too tight, but take it easy and its not really an issue. never tried a speed bump, but my driveway is kind of rocky, and i fly over it at the beginning/end of the ride. havent had a problem with the bb hitting ground as of yet.

Just got 'er put back together, and she runs great. It's a 1987 Trek 400D. Not one of their top bikes, but, seems real good to me. I should be glad the LBS multiply-buggered up a different bike that I took there, else I wouldn't have got mad & bought the tools I needed to do this one myself.
