Is A 70's Motobecane Super Mirage Worth it?
It's from the 70's and supposedly has been "gone over" by a shop. Not sure what all was done. Assuming it fits is it worth $120?
Were these considered any good for sub 20 mile runs?

That's a good bike. Worth $120 particularly if it's been gone over by a competent mechanic so that everything is working right.
I had a Motobecane in that size and color. I took it on a long tour up some pretty serious mountains. So yes it's more than fine for sub 20 mile rides.

It's even worth $150 if truly gone over by a mechanic, and all the rubber bits are good, and the clamping kickstand hasn't crushed the underside of the chainstays..
On the upshot, you'll never need to apply bar tape and I do find Motobecane's rebranded vinyl-covered saddles I see on that bike to be comfortable.
However, I'm skeptical, looks like the cable housings are in disrepair and that could get you down to $120. "A good cable kit will set me back $30" could be your ticket.
Overall though, yes, for what it is, this is a great little commuter, trail bike, etc. Nothing overly special, but also not too shabby.

Well $120 is as low as she'd go. I offered $90. Your comments were interesting but
1). Why won't I need bar tape?
2). What is the deal with the kickstand and the chain stays? I know nothing about that.
