Rear Derailleur problems
Hi guys, I will get straight to my problem. So when I tighten my rear quick-release axle my rear derailleur hanger gets bent for some reason and my derailleur cage starts hitting my spokes. Is there a reason for this or any fix?
Thank you

A quick fix may simply be to grab the rear derailleur and pull it away from the spokes followed by an adjustment at a shop

Yes, there's a reason for it...your hanger is not aligned correctly. It doesn't matter what it looks like with the wheel out, only when it's on the bike. Have it aligned by someone that knows what they're doing.

If you have a replacable hanger tighten the bolt(s) or replace the whole thing if it's bent.

Also, just a thought. Check that the axle/hub actually fits the dropout spacing without too much play. If there is an axle nut missing and/or the QR is flexing the dropouts inward that would pull the derailer as well.
Not likely, unless its a new bike to you or you were recently working on the wheel, but another random posiblilty.

I recommend throwing away the derailer and going SS.
