Thanks, it is the idea, if I ever get there, cleaning and some (further) corrosion preventing job is inevitable. Then the rest, we'll see.. I guess I wont be able to resist a rattlecan paint to see it at least once in shiny red before it starts the "Sleeping Beauty" hibernation until a proper car painter "kisses" it with the right color applied in the right method. Still need to figure out what I want with it in the long run. Somec was so much out of my league until this popped up, that I just admired the pics without ever thinking I could have one. When this appeared in the ads site, I bid without any hopes and the guy responded "you have it", so it all came by surprise, which is good but I was not really prepared for this. But as it is a one time big luck, I have to handle it responsibly, whether I just give it a normal repaint and keep it in this original setup (cleaned), or go crazy and gather all the period correct Italian parts. But that's far ahead. Was also considering to give it to my brother for his 50th birthday, as he is anyway really disappointed to miss a buy on a nice red Colnago Super, but made a check on him, that he never heard of Somec, so I didn't let him know that I have the bike, just showed him pics of other Somecs. He was amazed, but by that time I already decided that he won't get it - barbarian.

Mixed Campagnolo (mostly Chorus 10s) gruppo for the Alan with seat+post and cockpit (which are not for the Alan.) They were so cheap that I would have bought them even without having any bikes.

Leaving Wednesday, bringing my Volare. Hope to do some riding. Alaska Airlines tells me it will go as checked baggage. Crossing my fingers.

A Cipollini seat post.
Of course I bought an Italian bike as they shut down everything there.
No worries. Pietro will take care of me whenever he's able.
It's a different kind of customer service. We cooperate.

I inherited a Craftsman RAS from my late FIL. None of my wife's brothers wanted it, mainly due to the amount of room it needs. One of them did call dibs on Dad's old Craftsman table saw from the 1960s.

I bought another spare headlight. These lights are cheap and amazingly good. They have a shaped beam like the kind required in Germany. On high output, the light lasts for two hours. This is the third one I've bought because they're that good.

Vittoria tires from offerup...between my Gios and Giro I move tires back and forth to ride. That stops today
(Seller claimed to have used them for less than 100 miles...I was ok with that for the price.)

Nice! I'm curious about how it rides. The AM is supposed to be a very durable machine like the AW. The ratios are closer. Are you going to service it? Ive got an FW from '53 that had little wear inside once I cleaned up the nasty old grease. Here is what arrived for me. @noglider talked me into them. I'm using them on my new 700c wheel set and installing on my Armstrong 531 frame.

Hey, I finally got my 6 stainless shift cables for $5.19 ordered from china 27 days ago.
But don't worry. I washed my hands thoroughly after unwrapping them.
