Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Look vs Shimano cleat/pedals

Hi, I was wondering if there is a difference between the modern Look Keo cleats and modern Shimano cleats.
The reason is that I have Shimano pedals and consequently cleats on some bikes (the cleats are on my shoes), but am looking at buying or trying some Look pedals and I wanted to know if the Shimano cleats would work with the Look pedals. The cleats I have are the Yellow SPD-SL (standard pedal?), and the pedals that I have now are the ultegras (6800), and the 105 (5800). The Looks that I'm "looking" at would be the Keo 2 or the Keo classic 2 or something like them.

The reason, just curious and wanting to see what they are like but I don't want to get different cleats...

sorry if this was a bit long winded...

Don't mix cletes and pedal brands. It's like dog and cats living together, mass hysteria

Unless you are buying second hand, pedals are sold with the cleats included. Look and Shimano cleats cannot be interchanged
