They have a connection like an airhose line. Apprently for when you want to store your bike or take your bike on public transport. Looks like a great idea, wonder why it isn't used by other pedal manufacturers like Shimano and Look?

I have the MKS pedals. I put very few miles on my foldup bike, thus have only a few hundred miles on them so I can't give a long term review. But so far am very happy with them.

Do a google search for MKS ezy pedals. You find more sellers and more models.

It is a small market, I would have been surprised if Shimano or others made them.

If you get them, make sure that you get them locked in when you first attach them. They came with some small plastic retaining rings that I do not bother to use.

Go to the folding bike forum, you might find other users there that can comment on them.

I usually use SPD cleats, but when I bought my MKS pedals, their clipless version were not interchangeable with Shimano SPD cleats. For that reason I bought the platform pedals and installed toe clips.

MKS has 2 EZ quick release product lines, 1 needs a plastic locking clip, (don't lose it) the other does not.

Wellgo makes some quick release also that are popular, "QRD". Check the folding bike forums for some extensive discussions on the subject. I have both the MKS and QRD, both are quality level pedals.

I generally like MKS pedals and if I had a travel bike I would love to have a set of their Lambdas and US-S but sadly they use incompatible EZY one being the regular and the other being Superior. I think they could also be cool for locking your bike up as you can remove the pedals making it a potential less interesting target

That probably will not deter the meth types, at least not until after they got your bike free. Who's going to check to make sure the pedals are on? Seat, yeah. Pump, bag, lights. Yeah, owners take those, but pedals? All bikes have pedals except ones another junkie go to first.

Your thieves may be more discriminating.

It may not but it might either deter or at least slow down some thieves. Granted one should always use a good quality lock(s) and locking practices.

I have a neighbor that had her bike stolen. Was found about 100 yards away. She assumed it was because the thief did not like the tiny little clipless pedals. Nice Serrota with a Ultegra Grupo too.

A friend of mine, his bike was stolen at a grocery store. But abandoned a couple hundred feet away. He assumed that the friction downtube shifters were why it was abandoned by the thief.

In addition to commuting; I also use my bike(s) for grocery shopping, travelling, etc. I find folding/detaching pedals helpful.
First MKS pedals were Esprit EZY Superior; seems nice, no issues. Normally you have to look to line up the dots to disengage;
after a while I learned to detach just by feeling. Sold it because I can't switch between clipless & flats.

Next I tried MKS Urban Step-in A; 1 side platform/1 side clipless(Time ATAC copy). Platform side is okay; but I didn't like the engagement of the clipless side. Sold it.
Right now I'm using MKS EZY US-S; SPD clipless version. So far I like it. Also have Ti Part Workshop Double X(MKS EZY Compact copy in titanium) in the closet.
Now I can swap between platforms and clipless between my 3 bikes.

I have them on my Brompton. Although they work, they get gummed up and are difficult to put in and remove.

We sell lots of MKS quick release pedals for Brompton, but they're pretty popular with any kind of folding bikes, and yes, some people do get them as an added security measure as well.
