Yeah the inside of my legs brush against it too.........but I don't stand up an awful lot so I just put up with it. I only put it on the bike on week long tours when I usually have my camera with me.

I hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th. My wife and I caught two different fireworks shows. We were in Millville, PA.

For reasons that... well, really there are no reasons, I got white tires for my bike.
White tires were on sale, and they seemed to go with my white bike and white spokes. I figured I'd better photograph them now while they're still white. by ccorlew, on Flickr

Maxis Re-Fuse. All 100% white. Are there all white GP 4000s?
Here's the story
Curtis Corlew in Bicycle Land: Totally completely positively 100% all white Maxis Re-Fuse tires

Well my wife and I parked our road bikes back in CT, picked up the Mtn bikes (in storage in CT for the last 9 months) and headed to Acadia National Park (our old home for 40 years) for a few days. This picture was taken on the Summit of Parkman Mtn about 1400 ft above sea level on "Rockerfeller's Carriage Roads" see Carriage Roads & Bridges - Acadia National Park
Here's another from the waterfall bridge on the Upper Hadlock Pond Carriage Road.

Charlie, this is Sunrise road in Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington State. Starting just outside the North entrance to the park on hwy410, it is 40 miles r/t to the Sunrise visitors center. Bring climbing gears

cccorlew ... Just looked. The GP4000 has a colored tread, but the sidewall is black. Not nearly as blingy.

Pole Farm
Today, I decided to find the "Pole Farm." This was an AT&T facility that transmitted overseas calls from 1929 through the 1970s when it was finally replaced by undersea cables and satellites. Antennas were mounted on hundreds of poles, but only one pole is left as shown in the photos below. I've ridden by this pole many times over the last 18 years, but always thought it was someone's private antenna. The Pole Farm has recently been converted to a park. It has many trails and seems to be popular with birders.

Having returned to Liverpool after 30+ years in London, I've started riding my 1984 Raleigh Record Ace more regularly. It's mainly original, except for the Mavic MA40s and is one of the 531C models.
I'm thinking about entering L'Eroica Britannia next year.

I hadn't seen this thread before. I was just thinking yesterday, after listening to people yammering about their stats, that it makes more sense to share photos than Strava data. A couple recent photos of my Hunq in the Michigan wilderness.

Great time with great friends riding in the Eastern Sierra. The first day, we did this route:
Mosquito Flat and Red's Meadow - A bike ride in Mammoth Lakes, CA
Here is a group pix of us at Minaret Vista:
The second day, we drove down to Bishop and did the 4,600 foot climb up to Lake Sabrina. Oy was it hot. But the descent was beautiful.
And a photo from Tom's Place. The restroom is reached by passing through a 6' high doorway and down some steep wooden steps. The doorway is right next to the bar and over the doorway, there is this warning.
