I'm a sucker for perforated saddles. In practice, though, I found they didn't hold up very well to hard use, and that went for both my Turbo Super as well as my Flite -- I'm not quite sure what it was.

Let's also not forget this guy:

It's not as uncomfortable as one might think

I don't know anything about the Evo 3, but the Evo 2 replaced the Ti rails with carbon rails and was supposedly an honest 95-99g

That's the reason why I have a NOS one in my man room display case. It's too nice to use!

I had a NOS perforated turbo, it did not last long before I had to respray with car seat paint.

Continuing the 80's flite hypetrain, there appears to be a nubuck leather one with the same cover as the throwback turbos. Shame there's no black yet.

This suede-ish cover wears better than the perforated and leather ones in my book; the color will first fade in contact areas then the texture of the suede wears away leaving behind smooth leather.

Nubuck on that saddle is just weird to me -- I can't square the shape with the material (and brown just seems wrong!). A Flite to me should be smooth black with the yellow Flite name on the nose; I'd be too impatient to wait for the nubuck-y bits to wear away.

Seems like this is the real deal.

I wonder though if he changes out certain parts for regular usage? He probably is a featherweight himself so it helps but those über light cassettes and chains don't handle wear as well.

40k at 9lb is only about 10k on our 20 lb bikes, not such a big deal.

Pretty rad. Needs gumwalls. Maybe even white tape. Bar and stem combo look perfect though.
