Nevermind - just read through the posts on your blog. Great stuff. Here's my pics from our trip if you're interested in seeing some other cities/towns/places https://www.flickr.com/photos/rattle...57670754713000

Now back to bike pics?

Thanks, folks. My girlfriend and I bikepacked for 30 days, and we never took a bus, never rented a car, and never slept indoors. It was a truly awesome experience for us.

Here's the first of five posts: Max, The Cyclist Bikepacks Iceland

Just hit "Next Post" down at the bottom and you can go through the whole trip in a half-hour. My motto is "Bikeporn in every post."

Followed on all the mediums (except faceworld, cuz i dont like that game).

I started blogging about my bikepacking trip in AZ and i lost motivation. Writing is so much ****in work. Hopefully I'll finish writing all that and get back into it.

Looking to hit up Iceland but hit a much more remote dirt loop. How much was airfare for you two? That looks like the biggest hurdle

Airfare was $500 each, round trip, at peak season. Go in May or September and it's like $300.

Bikes were $100 each way on Iceland Air. Total then is $1400 for two people and two bikes round trip. WOW Air will save you money on the tickets but you'll lose money after factoring in bikes and luggage.

We landed and stayed in Sandgerdi and I would HIGHLY recommend that over the route to Reykjavik. The campground there will store bike boxes for the duration of your trip.

Sweet ride!
I was going to build one up myself but then they went out of stock in my size and I wasn't going to pay for a new model year which was way more expensive so I went with something I wanted to do previous to this. However your build isn't that dissimilar to mine so it is good to see something close to my "beeping throbbing vision" (I stole that from an old forum wondering when Steve Albini's studio was going to get ProTools)!

Hope you have fun on it. I might build one up next year if this model year goes on the same clearance sale down at QBP! Plus I could go SS on this one because my new one is strictly fixed so far.

Sweet looking ride, but you should consider adjusting your seat angle, rather than your stem. You want it to be level. The way you have it now has you sliding all your weight into the bars.
