Road bike comes out of hibernation.

It's been just a tad under 3 months since my last time on the road bike. I've had a blast playing on the trails this winter, but right now they are a mess. So after voting today it was time to dust off the road bike and roll out a nice 20 mile ride. It was great to be back in the saddle and playing on the pavement again.

Same thing in Minnesota. Feels good to ride something other than the stationery!

Get those nightmares out of your head, we'll have fun.

I was on slowtwitch for many many years while I was racing and my handle there was zipp. I had 4 zipp 2001 bikes. I've since sold them all as the maintenance was a ton on those bikes. I had a yellow one, a painted black one and 2 nude carbon ones that were very rare. I had a long distance relationship with the zipp employee that made those frames. I bought lots of parts from him!

I've had 3 at one time, but sold one to a friend who does tri's many moons age. I also probably dealt with that same former employee for parts as you did. Still have his email address somewhere but haven't needed him for years. I have an old friend that teaches machine shop and have had a few parts made by them for just the cost of material. I figure I'll part with the painted Zipp I have sometime in the near future, only because I don't use it enough anymore. My bare carbon one is set up as a Single Speed and my youngest son wants it. So when he comes home to get it it's his to take.
