Stupid Human/Computer Tricks During Lockdown

I use a backup service (CrashPlan) which seems to work ok. I have several computers this is on, and it incrementally sends new files or modified files to offsite backup. The idea is if the ransomware attack occured now I'd lose only a couple of hours of work.

Today when I logged the web seemed slow. Opened up task mananger (this is Win 10 Pro) and noted that nearly half my memory was in use - and I have 32Gb on my work computers! Since the only things running were Crashplan (which had pretty much finished its high CPU/comm bandwidth use) and Firefox I decided to investigate. In my haste this morning I guess I'd logged into linkedin twice. Amazing to me was the fact that when I killed each LinkedIn window, it freed up 2.5Gb of memory! So firefox went from about 5.5Gb to 0.5Gb, only by clearing two tabs!

Made me wonder: what other sites or programs out there that are really bloaty?

And what programs are really, really efficient? My nomination would be notepad++

And before the Linux people pop up and nominate Win 10 as bloatware, consider that none other than Linus Torvalds has criticized the current Linux for being bloaty with no relief in sight!
