When I was a kid and had a paper route it was 6 days a week from 105 down to the low teens. Now, Im a lot pickier so Ill say 40-50 below that its just not fun.

My exact sentiments. I voted 51-60 because in reality on the Space Coast we don't even have that many days you COULD ride at colder temps.

Coldest I’ve ridden in was about 25F, but I was only out there because it was in the middle of a long ride and it came as a surprise. My rational limit is right about freezing.

I think I might be persuaded to ride in colder climes if I had the right equipment.

I have completely wimped out this winter. Doing all my rides indoors at the gym. It sucks, but better than not riding at all. I seem to have lost my tolerance for the cold.

I live in northern CO. So the frequent sun and low humidity help.

Although I've ridden recreationally (not a racer) most of my life, this is the first winter I've ridden. My previous attempts at winter riding convinced me I just couldn't do it. But this year I invested in some good clothes and I've had some fantastic rides in the cold.

If I'd answered the question last week I'd have said my lowest temp was 32. But I went out this week when it was 27 and I did fine. Don't get me wrong - it wasn't balmy. But I'm convinced I could go lower. I doubt I'd make it below 20.

I don't care how cold it gets as I'll still ride. What limits my riding in winter is icy roads and idiot drivers who don't have the sense to slow down. Oh, really deep snow that you can make snowballs with limits riding too as he snow sticks to the tire knobs and then slips on t he snow under the tires. Bicycle wheel chains really help then.

As long as there's no wind I'll ride in any temperature. Last night it was 5°F here in the Chicago burbs and I was feeling a bit stir crazy so I took my eldest child's Diamond Back Outlook for a quick 9.5 mile spin. Figured it would be better in the snow than my Mirada.

My cold tolerance keeps getting worse with age (62 now). A few years ago I'd happily ride with temps in the 20s. I'd join casual group rides in any weather, even early morning rides -- and I'm definitely not a morning person.

But the past couple of years I've battled chronic sinus inflammation and cold dry air gives me severe headaches. I tried various face coverings -- paper surgical masks, balaclavas, microfiber mufflers -- and nothing helps. It ain't worth the hours of misery that follow an hour or two in the chill.

So now I won't ride if it's below 50. If it starts warmer, as soon as it drops I head home. The only exception is damp weather. I actually enjoy the chilly rides in damp weather, as long as I'm wearing the right clothes -- rain gear or at least wind-resistant gear so my sweat doesn't get wind chilled. The cool damp air actually loosens up my sinuses and my head feels clear, although a lot of mucus expulsion is involved.

I had planned to join a casual group ride this morning with friends I haven't seen for several weeks, but when I checked the weather it'll be in the 30s-40s until noon. So I wimped out. But I'll ride later this afternoon after it's in the 50s.

Years ago, I lived in Michigan. I rode during the winter. I discovered that at 15 degrees Fahrenheit, it was so cold that I would not go fast enough to get a workout because of the windchill. But at those temps, I could switch to cross country skiing.

I moved to FL years ago. So it did not get cold enough to stop me. One morning, my water bottles froze solid. It was in the high twenties.

Now my cut off is anything below 50 degrees which we rarely see. If we got a protracted cold spell, I would probably dig out my old cold weather garb and go out.
