Hi all!
I discovered this forum while looking to source a few parts for my 1977 Hugh Porter Bantel road bike, which I bought new from Bakers Bikes, of Mercer Island, while attending high school in the PNW. Foolishly, sometime during the 80’s I had the frame sand-blasted and sprayed it with rattle can clear coat. It became my rat-rod bike for next umpteen years until retiring it to storage. A year ago I discovered that reproduction decals were available, which led me to having the frame bead blasted and powder coated back to glossy red as if it were new. I’d post pictures, but I think I need at least 10 posts before I can do that...

You'll be able to post pictures once you hit 10 posts. All you have to do is say hi a few more times and you'll hit 10 fast,
So you definitely want to check out the C&V section and post pics of your bike there. We like old bikes.
