For those that don't have it....IMO it looks doesn't look as shiny in person. Anybody else feel the same?

It's definitely not that shiny. It also doesn't stay clean for long, and it's not as cleanable as the marketing claims. It's also a giant PITA to wrap Supacaz properly. Unlike most other bar tape I've used, I've found you really need to stretch it hard around the bends so that it doesn't loosen up over time. Fortunately the glue on it is very weak and lends itself to re-applying.

Is "look what I have and waste my $ on" the only reason you posted pictures of your camera?
I enjoy a lot of what you post but this is taking it to a new level...could be wrong but assume that most on here like to see/read stuff regarding bicycles not cameras.

Have you tried a medium format camera? When I had my Nikon FM my neighbor had a Rolleiflex-SLX that he let me used for about a year (during my second year of college). Shooting 120 film was amazing!
Last camera he had was a Hasselblad H4D-60... and was looking to get one of the newer 100 mps that were coming out. Never got to play with those as he passed away 6 years ago.
Anyway, the difference on film was significant but I never got to see the difference between the Hasselblad digital cameras and the Nikon.

I don't see how a D5 is necessary for web uploads. Especially when considering the size limits on this particular forum software.

Indeed!
We have yet to see how these fancy bikes/components will be used (if ever), leave alone any pics from these cameras. The whole point of his posts appear to be an endless exercise in showing off how cool he is, loaded with cash etc. All good stuff, it's his money (insert quote about a fool and his money here), but I don't really see the point.

I was being facetious! No chance I would spend that on a camera.

This is the first thread I think I have read down in the road-cycling section. It's been an interesting experience... Sort of like... something off a cheap reality TV show.

Only in the realm of the professionals. I used to shoot some B&W medium format film only as a hobby. At one point I had two Rolleicord TLR's, a Hasselblad 500C with a few old lenses, and a Mamiya 7 with the 80mm standard lens. All of which were used but worked really well. Also used a densitometer to figure out 1 stop over base+fog with a few films and developers. Finally, used a Jobo rotary processor to process the film myself in the house and a flatbed scanner with the neg holders to scan them in. All of the equipment is sold except for the Rolleicord TLRs and replaced with a Pentax K10D outfit. Have thought about exposing some more film with the TLRs, but I just don't have the time or energy anymore. Also finances are a lot different with single income wife and child vs dual income and no children. Such is life...

At first I didn't believe this was for real, now I'm not sure. Definitely one of the more bizarre threads I've read on BF.

Yes ... a train wreck, can't help but rubberneck
The whole point appears to be (looking at his other threads), look at me spend $$$ on bikes/components/cameras I'm never going to use
Probably a midlife crisis (or two or more)
