Seeking a ballpark on the frame and fork only for this Grandis. I believe its mid 1980s. The size is on the smaller size 53cm. This is part of a lot purchase including other components, and possibly another bike. The frame is too small for me, so I would be looking to sell the frame and keep other parts of the lot.
Unfortunately, I dont have info on the tubing. But the dropouts are Campy, so it looks like a high-end frame.
Any ideas on range of value?

Is there a frame tubing decal on the frame? what dos it say? Critical to know when evaluating the frameset.
Dropouts will also hint at what model level frameset it is.
The components seem to be a mix of high and mid level stuff from different eras.......

The resolution of the overall picture is poor but it appears to have Portacatena dropouts, a single set of bottle bosses and clamp style front deralleur.. If so, this would place it circa 1978 -1981 with a slightly lesser probabilities of ranging up to 1983. The leading tubeset candidate would be Columbus SL, though I wouldn't rule out tretubi SL or Aelle. We can get a better appreciation of the tubing grade from the seat post diameter and whether or not it has Columbus' patented helical ridges inside the bottom of the steerer tube (see pic).

The derailleurs are the only items that appear to be vintage, high end components. As noted, the crankset is mid-range Gran Sport, The calipers appear to be Triomphe or Victory. so we don't know if the derailleurs are OEM or an upgrade or if it's just a part bin bicycle. The headset definitely isn't Campagnolo Record/Super Record and it's the component most likely to be OEM.

Grandis are still in business over in Verona. I visited their factory a year or so ago, they are really nice guys. I am sure if you e-mailed them, they could tell you more about the frame.

No, the calipers are definitely mid-range Campagnolo. In the new photo that you posted, you can just see the top of the shield version of Campagnolo's winged wheel logo on the quick release,

+1 Campy or pantos don't always indicate a high level bike about half the bikes we see with these features offered up for pricing are middling at best. This one is mid level and would be a hard pass for me mid level road semi exotic project bike frames are money pits. If you must buy a mid level exotic go for a whole bike in nice condition there are a lot of them out there a good dozen or so for under $300 in nearly every CL market if you look around.

How is it a "money pit"? Frankly, I don't see where you are coming from. A smaller classic Italian frame-builder, Columbus SL (likely), Campy dropouts.....This is "middling at best"?

Grandis frames are top quality. The second string models w/Aelle tube and Gipiemme dropouts are still fantastic bikes. And underappreciated. Few know what they are. If the frame is straight and no paint blemishes worse than in the photos I'd go for $200 w/o wheels or pedals. If I wanted it for a rider. To resell figure out what you can get for parts.

What he said, the lug work on mine was incredible (pierced and tapered), and for a large frame (62 cm) it was VERY light. Wish I had pics.

I love the Grandis look, but the paint seems to bubble under at times.
