Riding the loop, but by myself in September. Will be interested in a ride report after you have ridden this...

I have a couple of buddies that want to make the trip and do the Copper Triangle. Sure would be fun, never rode on mountains before.

I've done that route self-supported at least once a year since I moved to CO in 2007. Great ride. Easy to self-support, as food & water are available at 3 corners of the triangle and lots of places in between on the Vail-Copper leg.

I've ridden the Copper Triangle event a few times. It seems like a walk in the park after riding Triple Bypass a couple weeks earlier. The event is great, but I don't like the logistics of driving there on a Friday evening. Traffic is often terrible, sometimes taking upwards of 3 hours to get to Summit county. Getting up early enough to drive there the morning of the ride is out of the question for me.
