newbie trying to pump up tire question
I feel stupid, but I don't know how to pump up my tire....my husband usually does it and he is out of town and I want to go for a ride but I made my tire co,mpletely flat rather than pump it up!

Try again.
Open the valve
Push the pump head on tight
pull up the lock lever on the pump head
pump up the tire to the psi listed on the side of the tire.
Unlock the pump head
Pull the head off by coming straight off
close the valve.

Thanks...I just came back in from the garage and did it again and it worked....I feel so silly. Now my question is...what should the pressure be? It is a road bike

Tire air pressure depends on the tire size.. It is listed as psi on the tire.

You don't need to pump it to that pressure. Start at about 90 in the back and 80 in front.
The practice before you need it is a good idea. My wife doesn't ride much, but she can repair a flat on the road.

Depends on how much she weighs and the tire size. Here's a chart:
