Kask helmet and sunglasses

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kask helmet and sunglasses

I am due for a new helmet and I really liked the Kask helmet that I had many years ago, that I cracked in a crash.

Not sure which model I will get, but how are they with sticking glasses into the vent? Apparently they have their own type of sunglasses. I wear Oakleys and similar styles.

My Kask Protone fits great, but isn’t the best when the temps get outta control hot.

I also didn’t care for how my sunglass (Salice 006) temple pieces bumped up against the helmet’s strap system in the back.

My sunglasses didn’t readily slot into the Protone’s front vents. Either too loose or jammed in sideways. Probably a Salice / Kask compatibility issue and not a dealbreaker across the board, but just wanted to share.

The Kask Mojitos are pretty cheap right now. No mips or any new tech but legit helmets can be found for around 110-125$

Super comfy, leather chin strap and good ventilation.

Oh... and hold sunglasses well.

I too like the look of the Mojito - although I have yet to try one on - but am curious as to why they are on sale right now. Is Kask discontinuing them?

I'm also considering a Synthe - not to hijack the thread!
