Loose crankshaft?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Loose crankshaft?

I'm new to cycling and I have a 2014 Opus Allegro 3.0

I noticed this yesterday....is this normal? Seems to have play in the crankshaft, like it's missing a bushing or something. The bike rides fine ..

Thanks

Yeah, no, that's not good. Can't tell you how to fix it without knowing more about your bottom bracket, but I'm going to guess you won't have the tools for it anyway. Find a bike store with a friendly mechanic.

Yeah, you need to let someone look at it. Bike shop will tell you what it needs, usually for free. Make sure it's the mechanic though that you talk to.

There are quite a few things it could be, depending on what BB and crank you have. Otherwise more pics, vids and specs.

I can't quite tell from the video if you have a Shimano hollowtech crank with an external bottom bracket or not. If you do have this type then you need to tighten the non-drive side crank arm onto the bottom bracket axle. Your left crank arm (or maybe your drive side crank arm if you have a square taper bottom bracket) is about to fall off!
