Here's a shot of my rig during last months tour through Wisconsin and Michigan. More about my equipment can be found in my journal. https://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/p...id=115331&v=3v (Journal is not complete.) Sorry about the non-driveside shot.

Wait.... So you have a free standing hammock? You can just jack knife the bike to make it stay upright? That's the coolest thing I've seen.
... Hamster wheels start turning ...
p.s. would you mind posting more/better pictures of your mechanism? It looks like an extendable boom?

Found this 1984 Lotus Odyssey at the Slavation Army. It will be nice to have a more civilized touring bike than my trekking ATB. Fresh from a complete overhaul and handlebar upgrade. There is a more detailed description of the rehab over on the Classics and Vintage forum.

Kobestang, that`s definitely a nice bike. If the pics you posted are scans from twenty year ol prints and you`ve had that XO since it was a baby, that`s totally awesome! I have an early RB-T, but I adopted it when it was already an adult.

Nice pictures, i really like that grainy b&w. How you do that (as in sleeping/dead pic)?

Dayton To Indiana Dunes
Here is a shot to prove that by Caliente survived the Indiana back roads. (do they ever pave the roads in LaPort County?)

Finally, my girlfriend and me made it: a lovely three day tour in New York's Finger Lakes region. Here's a pic of my loaded Cross-Check at the first rest stop. 30 pounds of bike, 45 pounds of stuff.
And this is our route.

Congratulations on your first tour! Nice looking bike, too- I love rigid mtbs.
Two ways to load an image on this site: THe simplest is to attach it to your post by clicking on the paper clip thingy above the space where you type your post, which will put a clickable thumbnail sized pic at the bottom of your post. The other way is to copy the image address from a website (flikr will work) and click on the yellow postcard symbol above the place where you type your post. When you click that, another box opens on your screen and you paste the image address from the other website there. That gives a full sized image anywhere in your post that you want.

Busan to Seoul, South Korea. Took 5 days but I had everything I needed to be fully self-supported for several weeks.
