Muncie is holding an event July 27 on the Cardinal Greenway. It says there is going to be a vintage show.

I'm no longer local, but I'm visiting my hometown over that weekend and was wondering if anyone was planning to come. It looks like quite the trail, spanning 62m of the midwest.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm about 30 minutes away from Muncie.

Aww man! I was in grad school in Muncie through 2015 but I've been in Rhode Island for the last four years. There was nothing this cool while I was there, not that I would have appreciated it properly then...

Dude, I grew up there in the 80s/90s. There was literally nothing outside of BSU. The auto industry was hemorrhaging jobs and the tech industries not existing yet. I could not wait to get out.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to my visit this time because of this path. Wondering if I can do a quick century from Muncie to Richmond and back.

I too have roots in Muncie. I spent 7+ years of my life (76-82) on and off and back on again doing undergrad @ BSU and working at the Outdoor Store (like an early REI). That's were I got hooked on cycling. One of my cycling friends Tim Kelly was instrumental on getting the Cardinal Greenway going, at least in the Muncie area. They even dedicated a rest shelter to Time out on the Prairie Creek spur way. Tim was killed in a car vs. bicycle accident a couple of years ago. I wish I could attend this, but that time frame just doesn't fit.
