Vertical locking bike solutions
Hi all,
My new apartment has a small enclosed area in back that can snugly fit my girlfriend and I's bikes commuter bikes hanging from wall hooks. While it is enclosed and mostly hidden from the street, it is still accessible via the side gate that leads into the shared courtyard, so ideally we would want to lock the bikes as well. I was wondering if anyone has any experience installing a secure outdoor storage for their bicycles?
Originally I was thinking just two hooks with a towel rod bolted into the wall to chain to, but it doesn't seem too secure. I found this product but it seems like the two feet of protruding steel tubing is an inelegant solution that one is liable to catch their face on. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Taking the Mod hat off now to discuss the topic, have you looked into wall anchors? Abus makes one, I'm sure there are others: https://www.abus.com/eng/Mobile-Secur...-anchors/WA-50. You could use whichever hook/support suits you best in the small space, not having to worry about how to lock your bikes to it.

there are the trax rubbermaid rails + hooks that slide
so the bikes can be moved tighter together,
or spread apart to un hook them
lag eye bolts can screw into the wall studs, and a chain lock to lock to it..
