Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Armstrong & Crow on SNL 10/29

Well, it's sort of cycling-related I guess, since Lance used to race his bike...

"Oct. 29 , Saturday Night Live has Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong as host and his fiancée, Sheryl Crow, as musical guest. For Armstrong, it's his first SNL stint, but he isn't a stranger to comedy. He made a cameo appearance in the hit comedy Dodgeball. Crow returns to SNL for the third time. She'll perform music from her new CD, Wildflower." - USA Today, 10/1/05

There was an ad for it on TV Friday:

Sheryl -"We're hosting Saturday night live".

Lance - "That's if I pass the drug test"

Sheryl - "To make sure you are not taking performance enhancing drugs?"

Lance - " NO, to make sure I AM!"

Man, that's really funny.

BTW, does Lance own a shirt with a collar?

I know alot of people give them such a hard time, but I can honestly say I really wish the best for the both of them in all their endeavors.

BTW, that's actually pretty funny. (At least I think so.) I have a pretty dry humor.

Sheryl is very unique in the fact that she goes from hot to not hot just about every other time I see her on tv or in magazines. IN that pic she looks sort of hot again. I think she is secretly sort of dirty and nasty so that helps but is she really hot?

Here she is hot. Or is it just the bike?

Sheryl is hot, and when was the last time SNL didn't suck? Even with a good host it is still an awful show. My parents always talked about how SNL was funnier back in the Belusi days and stuff.... Now when I watch it, all I can think of are the episodes with Dana Carvey and Mike Meyers etc etc...

It's called 6 hours of makeup. Didn't everyone see the Jamie Lee Curtis article, where they showed a before pic of her (flabby with a roll on her middle and no makeup, looking pretty tore up) and the after photo, where she looked tall and thin, and about 15- 20 years younger? The whole article went into how unrealistic it was to try to look like celebrities, because most of the time, they look just as bad as the general population. But when they have money, they can afford to pay for 6 hours of makeup artist work so they always come out looking like they are as hot as hot can be.

Yes, I'm sure they did. Is the frame too big? Impossible to tell from that photo. Sorry.

Pretty nasty small stuff to say about people you don't know, but sadly, to be expected considering the source.

I am with puddin'!! ->

What the heck is wrong with you SinCity? You just have to say nasty stuff on a regular basis don't you...? And about all manner of things too.. ? (not just Lance and such, just the other day you told a poster to go have an affair because he had a spat with his wife,...)

So why is that Sincity.. is that how you get attention..? If that is the case i can oblige (i can do nasty as well): So you crave attention because daddy didn't give you enough attention when you were little? Or maybe Daddy gave you too much attention mayhaps...?

@ Everyone else my sincere apologies for fouling up this thread with that sort of talk but i just get so tired of seeying SinCity doing that on almost every thread he contributes to.. Yes i know i shouldn't lower myself to his level, but i am not really worried about that, i'd like to think we are from different planets.

Anyhow,... a little more on topic. I also agree that SNL has sadly declined (with a few momentary improvements) over the years. As for Sheryl Crowe/make up and all. Well i am sure she does spend lots of time on that sort of thing, being a celebrity. But in my opinion she is a rather beautifull woman, even without make up. Mind you she is no longer a spring chicken, but if my future wife looked like her at that age, i'd be well pleased -make up or no.

As for frame sizing, likely Lance knows what he is doing plus i myself think Rivendell has a point when they say most people ride frames that are too small.

probably not. she could be sliding back on the saddle because she is climbing. i mean, after all, she has a seven time tour winner fitting her for a bike.

Are you saying she had 6 hours of makeup before getting on the bike?

No. She's already a bow wow on the bike. But when she spiffs up for social appearances, yes. She probably spends a minimum of 6 hours in the makeup artist's chair. Most everyone in Hollywood does, men and women.
