Bianchi

Every once in a while i do an overhaul/flipper bike that really stands out, i thought i'd post on here and show you guys. (feel free to post a few pics of your awesome wanted to keep flips)

so i need a little help with this bianchi, (hopefully bianchi girl sees this lol...)

i got ahold of just the frame when i bought it and built it up with suntour accushift, shimano, impossible to put on tires on ambrosio 19 rims.

I've never seen lugs like this from a bianchi before, it has an ishwata 022 sticker on it and i believe these decals are after market.

There's also bianchi pentographing on the seat stay. chrome rear triangle and fork, and bianchi branded drop out. Any suggestions on what model it would be, and any catalogues i should look at?..

here's the pics.

I would be guessing at a Japanese made Bianchi with an English Bottom Bracket (68mm wide). I do not know the model but i would guess at late 80's. I understand the Japanese Bianchi's were nicely built.

Whatever it is, the frame is nice looking. I'm really digging that color. Too bad it's not a columbus frame though.

I think the frame is an '84ish (judging by the style of the decal) Limited fame, Bianchi had a few Ishawata frames back then. Chrome "socks" were common back then but the fork may either be a replacement or someone removed the paint.

is the Frame ChroMolly od manganese/mangalloy? the decal on the seat tube looks right with the 'flag' but is the DT one messed up? is the font the same style?
