C-Record crank - any 135 BCD Campy chainring compatible?

I planned on getting a Super Record crankset to replace the C-Record beat-up crankset that came on the Cinelli I am restoring. After discovering my 53 tooth chainring is shot, I was wondering if I can use any Campy 135 BCD ring to swap onto the C-Record crank, just so I can ride the bike for a while to see if I like it??

Yep, and 135BCD chainring will work. Just make sure it's not a pista ring, because those are 1/8" thick, which won't work with your 3/32" chain.

Decade old thread dig!

Inane c-rec crank/chainring question:

The nut that takes the fifth ‘hidden’ chainring bolt is wedged into the chainring. How would you remove this to install into another chainring?

The pin on c-rec chainrings is aligned with the bolt hole - but on other 135 BCD rings it’s between the holes. Does it matter if you use a non c-rec ring with misaligned pin?

I haven't done it in forever, but. think it will just pop out with a gentle tap, if you thread a male bolt into it and tap on that.
