Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

walmart now sells a fixed gear bike with a flip flop hub

I seen one the other day it's called a thrasher.I t's set up in the freewheel hub but has a true fixedgear one also.

the breaks are a little weak to use as a tru fixes gear, the handle bars and bike color are a little odd. hey I guess every one wants to get into the game.

I'm not getting rid of my se draft lite to buy one..

I couldn't find the price of the bike.

The bikes they've sold, like the Mongoose Cachet have always had flip-flop hubs.

And its not a break its a brake. Also, it has a flip flop hub with a freewheel on one side and a fixed cog on the other. Theres only one hub, not a freewheel and a fixed gear hub those are just attachments to the hub.

Spend more time reading around the site and you will become more comfortable with the terminology and the way your bike works.

Man, its as big as you make it but sitting idly by and not acknowledging someone doing something wrong makes the witness look just as mis-informed as the person doing the action. Theres no snobbery involved, just trying to help a kid learn about his bike.
