Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? What should I buy for my first bike? Sole Bicycles or SE Draft?

I want to buy a fixed gear or single speed bike, but I don't want to spend more than $350 dollars. So far I am thinking of buying this bike for $310 from https://www.solebicycles.com/shop/sol...e-rosshandler/
or get an SE Draft Lite Complete Bike from City Grounds for $299. Since this is going to be my first bike, and I am a noob, what is the best thing for me to do?

I was doing some searching and found a company called Wyatt Bicycle Company and their bikes are similar to Sole Bicycles, except have much better components and the frame and fork is made out of 4130 Chromoly. It looks like the company is new and is in the process of manufacturing their first batch of bikes at the moment. They have animated pictures of the bikes on their website to give people and idea of what they look like. It says that actual photos of the bikes will be coming very soon and the bikes will be available for purchase in October. It looks like you can pre-order your bike for $310, but then the price will go back up to the Suggested Retail at $350. Visit their site at www.wyattbikes.com

Actually, I have a Lager. 2500 miles in the past year around Chicago and the burbs. I've done centuries on the thing. I actually dig it. That being said, my next bike will ne higher end, but for the price they are no better or worse than a Kilo.

**** Sole Bicycles and the fact that "Wyatt Bikes" can't even put real pictures of what they sell on their site should be enough to steer away anyone with half a brain in their head.

Really guys, this is what you're trying to get people to give you their credit card info for?
