Backroads Challenge Century ride. 99 miles,( I was so tired I didn't bother to go around the block for that last mile 9,000+ feet of climbing.
Bike Ride Profile | Backroads Challenge Century near Rohnert Park | Times and Records | Strava
9,000 feet is the most climbing have done on a century. I often just ride my own ride and stick to my own pace on these rides, but this time I partnered up at the first rest stop and ended up riding together the rest of the ride. It made for a much more enjoyable effort and better timing on my part than if I had ridden alone.

I rode on Ride-to-Work Friday and got caught in a downpour around 6 pm. Went flat, too, but was only a block from home.
Saturday, did back-to-back climbs of Bear Mt in Harriman on my Schwinn (8 mi up, 2400').
Today, I hope to do a group ride if I can get back to sleep.

^ Some amazing rides everyone!
For me it was an easy 20 miles yesterday in the south valley.

My longest ride to date, 19.7 miles. When I starting cycling close to two years ago I thought I might be able to get up to ten miles.

Nasty out and back from my house: 24.6 miles, 2600' of climbing (and a terrible dead end ranch road descent to boot). The weather was, however, perfect. I'm shocked at how strong I felt given how little riding I've done in the last 4-5 weeks - go figure.
What??? Only 2 wheels?

My sweetie and I did 40.1 on the tandem today. She's 5 weeks from having breaken her arm and feel pretty darn good. I added some T-handles on the end her handlebar and she's liking them.
Lots of bikes out today in MetroBostonWest. The bike racks at the ever-popular Fern's General Store in Carlisle were full:

Did the same identical group ride twice. The second time was with just one other guy as a consolation to him because he came out to the club picnic expecting a late ride which was cancelled. We followed the cue sheet and the second ride was way better than the first! Did a few miles on my own when I got home, too. (Total 75 mi for the day.)

Day two without a ride because of the lacerated ankle. Felt really strange taking the wife to the MUP and watching her take off while I stood there and couldn't ride. I would have stayed home if she was able to get the trike out of the van on her own.

I did but I should have stayed at home.. More wind, wind, wind today.. Because of the wind I shortened my ride and only went 32 miles with 1000 feet of elevation gained and 14.1 mph average..
Boo wind, please go away!

I started riding again May 2 after a 20+ years of not getting on a bike. I did ride #7 today. Averaging 14 miles/ride, 1 to 2.5 hours per ride. I wanted to my first 20+ today and did 23.5 miles at 9.8 mph/hr. I will be 66 next month. I want to increase my average speed so I can go further in less time. And ride over to the beach where the scenery is better.
And after reading some of the weather posts here a hate to say it was sunny and about 70 when I started at 7 and about 84 when I finished about 930. Oh I live in Florida so the elevation change might have been about 20’.
Happy riding
