Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They are all pretty much sold out. You probably get on a waiting list for the 2019s though.
They were sold out of the Blue by last September. I’m stuck with an Orange/Yellow one. Can’t wait till it’s finished.

not sure what supply looks like now, I ordered mine back in September and had to wait about 5-6 weeks to get it.

As pictured it comes in right at about 10kg. That's with the front/rear Cycliq cameras, saddle bag, Brooks C15 saddle, etc. Also, those HED Jet+ wheels are a tad heavy due to being basically Ardennes with a fairing on them and I'm running them tubeless; so it'd be very easy to shed a few KG and get it down to a race weight.

Pic to further pique @DWrek's interest in buying one.

I think Im in! Called the LBS and they said Specialized does have inventory. Can get in 5-6 days. Gonna sleep on it a few nights, too many cool bikes out there to choose from.

I was at my LBS last month and they had a silver one just chillin' there on the rack.

I'm looking hard at one of these for next year (stock, not a frameset build), kind of excited to see what the colors look like for 2019 because I don't love any of the three 2018 colors.

On that note, all the other Allez models except this one got redesigned for 2018 (more relaxed geometry and ability to add racks/fenders), can we expect the Sprint to stay the way it is for another year or two or is there an updated one on the horizon?

I got a 2018 “new design” allez last December. It’s pretty phenomenal to ride! Just wanted to say it out loud. Besides the fork fiasco it’s been a great bike.

It is hard to believe that the Allez is more aero than a Venge.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest to be honest. You can make a bike that is light enough to race out of pretty well any frame building material that is commonly used. Beyond that its a bike. Most of the aero advances that are still road legal today have come out of making the rider more aero and not the bike. Skin suits, aero helmets, etc. Meanwhile things that have been banned include "step over" style time trial bikes, Spinacci aero bars, and the types of Spinergy wheels that were adopted by riders such as Mario Cipollini.

A lot of comments on IG are clamoring for a disc version.

According to the link below a disc version may be on the way.

Explain the Spinergy wheel ban.

What's left to explain? They're sort of like the food processor of bicycle wheels and after several accidents and incidents leading to serious injuries of riders and wheels assploding the UCI came up with a test that the Spinergy Rev-X wheels simply could not pass. As Gandalf once said "you shall not pass."

Oh, you are talking about a specific model wheel, not the brand Spinergy

You might want to mention that.

The UCI doesn't ban specific products. They make regulations, and some products do not meet the standards they set.

There was a lot of talk at the time just like other things such as disc brakes that have been banned and then unbanned that the UCI reacted to a particular product just as in the case of the other two examples such as Spinaci (or any other) clip on aero bars while riding outside of any other stage or event than a time trial. Then there was the UCI regulations that led to these and other similar bikes being regulated out of existence for all types of competition. I do have a fair idea about what I'm talking about. I'm not perfect but I will file your comments under advice.
