Good, inexpensive steel hardtail frame?

I have a Klein Attitude but don't like the ride. It's a bit too harsh for my liking. All of my other bikes are steel, so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a steel hardtail frame that I can swap my Klein's parts over to?

* Currently have 26" wheels but would consider a niner. Not sold on 650b yet.
* Should have rear rack mounts
* Disk brake only...no canti mounts...it's an aesthetic thing.
* Reasonably priced -- under $500 would be ideal

I know the Salsa ala Carte fits the bill, but holy crap is the new green color ever horrible. I guess I could go 29er and get a Mariachi.

Are there any other good options out there?

Thanks,

Pete

This place has a few:

Orange makes 2 or 3 steel frames, then there's on-one frames. The orange prestige seems like a screaming deal.
