2007 Trek 7300 worth it?
https://kansascity.craigslist.org/bik/4470136801.html
I am debating whether this bike is worth it or not. The lady said it is 5 years old but I'm pretty sure it is 7 years old. I don't know if it would be worth 200 since my 2009 trek 7200 was 200 a year ago. I would stick with my 7200 but it is too small. I am new to bicycling. We just purchased my husband the matte black 7.2 fx. We want to save up to get me a nicer/newer bike. I do love the comfort bikes.
Is it an 07? https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes...hive/trek/7300

No. Don't get the older bike. The differences in the technology of the older bike and the newer FX series is very pronounced. You want the FX series anyway so just do it, as Nike says. Save yourself the brain damage and wasted money of getting the interim bike which you will have to sell later, if you even can. I think $200 is too high for that model. I had a 2007 7500 and went to the 7.5 FX. Sorry to rain on the parade, but I am speaking from experience.

It's only worth about $160, if in mint condition. I'd pay about $125 for it. That's it!

Take your time and really look around. Back in late 2010 I bought a 2010 Trek 7200 with only a few miles on it from the original purchaser for $200 that was listed on Craigslist. He had the invoice from the LBS that showed he paid $500 for it new. He had knee surgery and could not ride it so he put it on CL and I was lucky enough to be the first caller. There are deals out there if you are patient. It's your money, spend it wisely. Good luck in your search!

I got my 2011 7.3 FX a couple of months ago for $250, and it isn't in show room condition, but it was close. I would look for a better deal.
